Chkdsk with vista cd

I just noticed this post is over a year old but just in case I'll leave my 2 cents worth. Most of the PC's produced today have another partition on the drive with the complete operating system ready to reload and I think the utilities as well. Anyway there is a provision to make your own load disks and if that doesn't work the computer mfg.

It told me it would have to do it at next startup. So I restarted and the startup would only get halfway through the normal startup and restart the pc. So then I had to boot from my Vista dvd to repair. After that it started up like normal and ran Vista's chkdsk on itself and it seemed to reverse what XP's chkdsk did.
