That's one of the first things I would have told an end user have you checked to see if you have the latest driver. Running dual here on an el-cheapo nVidia card from a couple years ago and aero peek works fine on both.
I also use multiple Monitors both at home and work and have only seen this with old low-end systems and then it was with a single monitor and the card did not support the needed versions of Direct X. Well I updated the driver and still no go.
The system I'm doing this on is a Dell E so it's the top of the line for the Latitude series of laptops and the video card supports the latest DirectX version. So I'm open to any other additional suggestions. I'm beginning to wonder if the video card isn't capable of doing the two dual monitors both in HD as well as the Aero Peek functionality.
As I type this I am just mirroring my two monitors and Aero Peek is working fine. The second I go to extended desktop I lost all of the Aero functionality. If that is truly the case word to the wise if you want Aero functionality on two HD monitors you better avoid the Dell Latitude E Lawrie Dalman Consulting is an IT service provider.
Don't know if this has been covered or if you're sorted, but I have 4 HD monitors on my main production Windows 7 box and have done lots of multiple monitor set-ups for clients and there is one thing in common with nearly all of them.
Manufacturers drivers hardly ever work out of the box or embedded drivers either. I suspect some manufacturers were slow to get thing working for bit shading across multiple monitors so the behaviour you describe is pretty common.
Downloading the most recent driver from the manufacturer of the PC or the display card, whichever is more recent usually fixes it in my experience. Lol, I have dual monitors on my desktop, and a third connected to the little laptop that I carry with me that is docked while I'm at my desk. All 3 are 21" ones. I'd really feel surrounded with a fourth! Been hounding MS for a plugin for Windows 7 to drive one or two more independant cursors, yes you can have 2 or 3 mice but not cursors, so there can be no independant action across them, but I can multitask quite handily and monitor quite a number of client sites very comfortably.
