I'm running dual nvidia geforce gt cards and have installed new driver from nvidia but continue to get incompatibility message.

McAfee scans indicate no problems. I have tried various scans and repairs from dell and ms to no avail. From device manager the highlighted cards properties message states that "windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems code If I click Check for solutions no results or suggestions are shown.

Would a defective card be the problem and send the above incompatibility message? Unfortunaltely, I removed both of my cards, one at a time, and tried each one separately but neither card worked. I assumed that both got fried too hot strangely about the same time. I replaced the s with one card, a nvidia with one gig mem and that solved the problem. I have also noticed that the runs cooler so hopefully it will have a longer life.
